The theory that will be in the lectures is from papers that appeared in SIAM Journal on Numerical Analysis.
An excellent place to look for information about multigrid, including tutorials, papers, virtual proceedings, codes, and more is MGNet. An interesting simple code is one by Steve McCormick.
The assignments will be online, too. Many of the assignments will
