Subject: MGNet White Pages?
I was just looking through the Web MGNet and I thought of something that I
would like to see added to it. It would be nice to have a directory of
multigrid researchers, maybe something like NA-Net has, but at least names,
affiliation and e-mail address and possibly research area.
The reason I mention this, is that I have ended up lately raking my brain
trying to think of who I might be able to get some help from and then having
to figure out how to get a hold of them. So, I've been using the NA-Net white
pages for some addresses and looking up university homepages after getting the
schools from various papers. Needless to say this has been very inefficient
and time consuming without helping my research at all.
So, how about it? I think that we could all benefit from a directory of
multigrid researchers. Yes, I know this site also deals with domain
decomposition and a list of those researchers would also be useful.
I'll start the list off.

Subject: BLAS
The topic of parallel BLAS and Sparse BLAS will be discussed at a workshop in
Tennessee in November. While this is not a multigrid or domain decomposition
topic, many of us do use the BLAS and whatever comes out of this workshop may
well affect us or our colleagues. The papers on the Sparse BLAS have been
on MGNet for quite some time in the directory
mgnet/papers/SparKer
The parallel BLAS paper can be accessed through netlib using the command
rsh netlib2.cs.utk.edu -l anon ls -l lapack/lawns/lawn100.ps
If you have any comments, send them to the relevant authors or you can send
them to me and the message will be forwarded.
