Subject: DDM7 preface and participant list
Craig,
As of notification received yesterday, AMS has approved the publication
of the DDM7 proceedings in the Contemporary Mathematics series, with an
estimated shipping date of January, 1995.
To celebrate, so to speak, I have placed the preface and the participant
list, which will appear as frontmatter in the proceedings, in the
mgnet incoming directory. According as you see fit, you may place
them in the DDM7 subdirectory.
Recall that, under the agreement reached with AMS last fall, all of the
files in the DDM7 directory will have to be deleted when the book
becomes available.
Thanks.
/David

GRADUATE TRAINEESHIPS
The Program in Applied Mathematics invites applications for National Science
Foundation Graduate Research Traineeships (GRTs). The GRTs provide financial
support during a student's Ph.D. study, including tuition for up to 5 years.
Two traineeships will be available for the academic year beginning fall, 1995.
Traineeships are available for US citizens only. Several Graduate Teaching
Assistantships are also available. Women and minority students are encouraged
to apply.
The Program in Applied Mathematics has 11 core faculty members and over 25
affiliated faculty whose research areas include Nonlinear Phenomena, Physical
Applied Mathematics, Computational Mathematics, and Discrete and Statistical
Mathematics.
The application deadline is Feb 1, 1995. For further information please
