Paul M. de Zeeuw has contributed his mgd9v routines to the repository:
MGD9V is blackbox multigrid solver designed for linear systems resulting
from the 9-point discretization of a general linear second-order elliptic
partial differential equation in two dimensions. MGD9V is the implementation
of a robust multigrid algorithm that does not deteriorate when either
discontinuous diffusion coefficients or dominating first-order terms are
present in the original differential equation.
Important ingredients of the algorithm are: i) sawtooth multigrid cycling,
ii) matrix-dependent gridtransfers, iii) incomplete line LU relaxation,
iv) fully automatic Galerkin approximation of coarse grid matrices.
However, the user is not bothered by this. The user needs to supply hardly
more than the linear system, the desired tolerance and enough workspace.
