Abstract

In this talk, the application of AMG to several "real-world" problems is presented. These include matrix problems coming from DANTE, a neutron transport code at LANL, ALE3D, an elasticity code from LLNL, and a code modelling fluid flow in the eye. Several aspects of these problems can present special problems for convergence of AMG. Present and planned modifications to the AMG algorithm in order to deal with these difficulties will also be discussed.
