Construction of homogenization based transfer operators

Abstract:

This talk deals with an application of homogenization techniques to the construction of intergrid transfer operators in the case of linear elastic heterogeneous materials. So far, this strategy can only be accomplished to regular meshes. However, we will discuss an extension to irregular meshes which represents an alternative to algebraic transfer operators.
